Why Silver Sky Exists
For years, I worked in education, behavior, coaching, and finance.
No matter what role I was in, I kept noticing the same thing.
Children weren't failing because they lacked potential.
Many simply hadn't been understood.
Some were constantly being told they were distracted.
Too emotional.
Too sensitive.
Too much.
Or not enough.
But when someone took the time to understand how they experienced the world...
Everything changed.
That's why I created Silver Sky.
Not to change children.
To help them better understand themselves—and help the adults who love them do the same.
The Perspective I Bring

I've spent years working with children in classrooms, on baseball fields, in coaching conversations, and around my own kitchen table.
I've worked with children who struggled to sit still, children who doubted themselves, and children who quietly believed they weren't enough.
What I've learned is this:
Children rarely need someone to tell them to try harder.
They need someone who understands how they learn, think, and experience the world.
I've seen what happens when children spend years trying to become someone they're not.
I've also seen what happens when someone finally helps them understand themselves.
That's the transformation I want for every family who comes to Silver Sky.
A little about me...
I'm a mom of three boys.
I'm also an educator, coach, lifelong learner, and someone who genuinely believes children do well when they're understood.
Our family spends a lot of time on baseball fields, hiking trails, and learning together through homeschooling.
Those experiences shape the way I coach.
Because I know real life isn't lived inside an office.
It's lived during homework.
Car rides.
Bedtime routines.
Morning chaos.
Family dinners.
Those are the moments that matter most.

Everyday moments remind me why this work matters.
What Guides My Work
Curiosity before judgement.
Every behavior tells a story. We choose to understand it before we try to change it.
Understanding before expectations.
Children can't meet expectations that ignore how they learn, think, and experience the world.
Strengths before deficits.
We begin with what's working because confidence grows from capability—not criticism.
Progress over perfection.
Small, meaningful steps create lasting change.
Families first.
Children thrive when the people who love them grow alongside them.
Every child belongs.
No child should feel like they have to become someone else to be worthy of success.

What I'm Still Learning
I don't believe great coaches ever stop learning.
That's why I continue studying neuroscience, executive functioning, behavior change, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and evidence-informed coaching—so I can continue showing up as the best coach possible for every family I work with.
